Our story
We are a design firm with a purpose...
We were born out of a desire to help parents in developing nations stay home. In many countries parents leave their families in search for a better economic outlook abroad. With few options locally the temptation and pressure to leave the family is immense. Unfortunately, they are often trafficked for their labour and end up paying high interest loans and work only for food and board.
Without parents at home crime rises as there is no one to enforce discipline.
Our vision is for Thought Collaborative to play an active part in preventing parents from being trafficked for their labour.
We plan to empower parents with business principles so that they can create their own economic opportunities and transform their communities.
Today we:
Donate 5% of our profits to charity
Partner with charities to teach business skills within local community (rather being forced to subsist in low paying jobs elsewhere so that communities are not disrupted by labour trafficking)
Create materials to train others to teach business skills
Our dream is for every project we deliver to help create economic opportunity for those in need; For every staff member to have an impact.
